In Jodhpur, Rajasthan large areas of land are barren and unfit for cultivation. Farming is hard due to lack of water and poor farming methods. This leads to wasted water and poor crop growth. Traditional irrigation methods, which are often wasteful, pose an additional challenge where water conservation is critical. Furthermore, conventional farming practices do not always maximize crop yield, leading to inefficient land use and unsustainable agricultural practices. This results in poor yield and causes financial strain for the farmers.

In today’s world, where environmental sustainability is a priority, finding a solution that optimizes resources while promoting eco-friendly agriculture is crucial.
I have partnered with Lakshya Pariyavaran Sanrakshan And Jan Kalyan Sanstha, an NGO based in Jodhpur to tackle this problem. We have identified a 2-acre land located at Gau Samwardhan Kendra, near Arna Jharna, Moklawas, Jodhpur. There is also a gaushala attached to this land.
These efforts will transform barren land into fertile, high-yielding fields, producing ten times the amount of bajra compared to traditional farming methods.
My name is Krisha Bang. I am 16-years-old and a Grade 11 student at Hill Spring International School, Mumbai.
I've always been driven to make a positive impact on my community. Frequently visiting my hometown Jodhpur, Rajasthan I have witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by farmers in this region. Barren land, scarce water resources, and inefficient farming practices have led to poor crop yields, financial strain, and a dwindling hope for a sustainable future.
This is what sparked my aim to support the transformation of barren land into fertile, high-yielding fields. I believe that by introducing innovative agricultural techniques and sustainable farming practices, we can improve crop yields and empower local communities.
I have tied up with an NGO based in Jodhpur to implement a drip irrigation system and optimise crop production methods on a 2-acre land at Gau Samwardhan Kendra. It costs INR 7.5L to bring this project to reality. This will help produce ten times the amount of bajra compared to traditional farming methods and help farmers increase their income. We aim to raise 3.75 L through crowdfunding.
