PROJECT AASHAYEIN
“Project Aashayein – A Ray of Hope “is dedicated to reaching out to underprivileged kids who will be given a kit which contains a school bag, notebooks, Pencils, Pens, Drawing Book, Colour box, Geometry box, Eraser, Sharpener and Ruler at the beginning of their school term. Each kit costs just INR 500.
This crowdfunding initiative of mine is a campaign that is being done by me and my fellow students at the Billabong High International School in Mumbai to raise funds to give each kid a kit. This will give them confidence, spark renewed interest in their studies. EDUCATE A CHILD, ENRICH A LIFE.
We do remember our childhood days when at the start of each academic year, we would run to the nearby shop with parents to buy new books, textbooks, stationary. But there are countless kids who are deprived of this basic need for their education. Can something be done for them? Project Aashayein is the answer. Project Aashayein is an initiative of the NGO called IDF and was kick-started in 2014-15 and supported 77 kids. Since then it has impacted over 15000 students. The beneficiaries are school kids studying in govt schools in Maharashtra. Targeted number of students for 2019 is 30,000 number.
My aim is to raise 20000 INR to impact 40 students at a govt school in Maharashtra. This is being done in partnership with IDF a registered NGO that is Mumbai based. Funding has 80 G tax benefits.
These funds will be used to impact 40 kids. If I raise 40000 INR I can fund 80 kids. Pl do fund my campaign even after I get past my goal.
PICS ABOVE: THE EDUCATIONAL KITS GIVE STUDENTS IMMENSE CONFIDENCE AND GENERATE INTEREST IN GOING TO SCHOOL AND IN THEIR STUDIES. IT IMPACTS ATTENDANCE, MARKS AND THEIR FUTURE.

ABOUT ME & THIS CAMPAIGN:
My name is Manasvee Dnyate and I am in Grade 10 at the Billabong High International school in Thane.
I have undertaken this campaign because I believe that providing an educational kit is a very basic requirement for a good education. Good quality schooling starts with basic things like books, school bags etc. Schooling is the one big differentiator that can enable these kids to grow up and change the future of their families and get them to get out of the vicious cycle of poverty.
Just 500 INR to provide all these elements in the kit is not a big amount to impact a child. Imagine the confidence it will give them. Please support my campaign and let us together bring joy to the lives of these fellow students in rural schools in Maharashtra.
Once you fund I would be immensely grateful if you can also share my campaign on FB and with some of your friends on your WhatsApp groups. Please tell them that you have funded this campaign and that they can too. Your share will make a big difference to the number of students that we can impact.

PROJECT AASHAYEIN IMPACT IN 2018:
FEEDBACK THAT YOU GET
To ensure that there is complete transparency I shall get a report from NGO (this takes between 2 to 4 months usually after the funds are raised & transferred to them) telling me who benefitted from the funding. The details will then be posted on the UPDATES section of my campaign. As soon as I post an update, the platform will send an SMS and EMAIL alert to all the funders - i.e. to you. Click on the link on the email and you can read about who benefitted. That's transparent right.
The below image is an example of the FEEDBACK FORMAT that we will be shared with all my funders.

FAQs
Will we get to know the details on how the money was spent?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to IDF. It will take from 30 to 90 days after that to get details of who the beneficiary was with details of them. Once I get this information from them I shall upload a group picture of the students who were provided with the kit on the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the beneficiaries.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2-3 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to NGO. The receipts will start getting processed about 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly.
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding in India is a relatively new concept & is growing very quickly.
It’s a concept that allows a large number of funders (like you) to fund an Idea or a cause or event by giving small amounts of money online. Fueladream.com is a crowdfunding platform in India that allows for such a pooling of funds. You can fund innovations & ideas on FuelADream and be the first to get these products or make them come true. You can also do a good turn by funding charities and causes through crowdfunding. When you fund a charity it’s more like a donation & you get small innovative rewards like a shout-out on an FB page or a thank you email from the beneficiaries
