Sukamal Nandi was a 27 years old Salesman based at Siliguri, working for an MNC. On 14th April 2019, in a tragic accident, he passed away.
He was at the banks of a river, performing the last rituals of his deceased aunt when his niece fell into the river. In an attempt to save her, he jumped into the water. Unfortunately, neither of them could be saved. Both of them were pulled away by the strong current and drowned.
Sukamal’s family include his parents, Mr. Supriya Nandi and Mrs. Mili Nandi. He was the only child and the sole bread-winner of the household. His parents are aging and have not been keeping well for some time now. He was their only support, financially as well as otherwise. They do not have much to fall back on.
This campaign is to help the family survive this gruesome tragedy and ensure that we are able to contribute whatever little we can to help his family through this period of grief & despair through best possible financial support.
ABOUT SUKAMAL
Sukamal was a very jovial person and would easily adapt to the changing environment, he was very talented and hardworking, a very good listener too. He loved to play and follow cricket. Belonging to a lower middle-class family he had seen his parents bringing him up the hard way and in return, he wanted to give them back all the happiness of the world. He was the only source of income his family had and now his parents are helpless with their current situation.
ABOUT THE CORE TEAM WHO ARE RAISING FUNDS
We are part of an MNC Trade team and running this campaign for Sukamal who was associated with us and was well known for his hard work and sincerity. Our thoughts go out to his family in this hour of grief and despair. We would like to raise money through our colleagues, friends, family, well-wishers, and people who would like to join us in this noble campaign.
We would like to personally appeal to all to come forward and fund this campaign generously so that we can meet the goal of ensuring a healthy life for his aging parents. We are working to financially help the family and take care of Sukamal’s parents’ medication in the best possible manner.
USAGE OF THE FUNDS COLLECTED
The amount raised will be utilized to cover the medical expenses of his parents. Sukamal's Father Mr. Supriya Nandi is suffering from a severe pulmonary disorder and is under medication from quite a long period. The funds collected through this campaign will be directly transferred to the mother’s account. The funds would be used for Sukamal's father's medical expenses.
