My name is Ananya Kalantri. I am 17 years old and in Grade 12 at the Hill Spring International School.
My classmates and I got to know about crowdfunding and how we can save the lives of children who came from the economically weaker classes of society. It definitely sounded like something I would want to do. While all of us complain about how things around us need to improve, very few of us actually get to do something about it. It's all talk and no action. If you told me that we could actually save the life of someone, I would have been amused.
This initiative helps fund heart crucial surgeries for young children, the money goes to the Wadia Hospital in Mumbai. Without these surgeries they either face severe complications or are unable to survive. Thinking about such a young life and so much young potential losing their chance to live breaks my heart. The benefit of donating to this campaign is that we are funding subsidised surgeries so every 30,000 we give saves a life and those who donate will receive information about the little one they saved!
2,000 rupees going to this campaign instead of online shopping is three fold the outcome and reward.
