My name is Advait Joshi and I am in Grade 9 at the TSRS, Aravali.
I have undertaken this campaign because I think wearing footwear is something that is a basic need for any school-going child. I cannot imagine walking kilometers to school barefoot every day in unfavourable conditions.For us, shoes and footwear is a bare minimum but for these children it can make a massive difference. These children who are being supported in the remote district of Chitrakoot in UP are doing well at school despite adverse circumstances and conditions. The fact that raising 22000 INR or more can give footwear & transform the lives of 100 children or more is something that I am very excited about.
Please support my campaign and let us together bring confidence and change into the lives of these fellow students from rural areas in the remote and very backward district of Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh. In the summer temperatures go up to 46 to 48C sometimes. Without footwear, it's impossible for these students to get to school. This leads to dropouts, low attendance, health issues, etc.
Most discarded shoes end up in landfills or get burned. Both of these are harmful for the environment. This campaign will also help us save the environment along with giving these relief. These shoes will get recycled to give these fellow students footwear, which for us as I said is a bare minimum but for the children is a blessing. They are the future of our great country, let us not stop them for this reason to grow from sea to sea.
