Hello! My name is Shabd Bhatia. I am a Grade 8 student at Neev Academy School.
I have undertaken this campaign to revive a dead lake because lakes are important ecosystems that can sustain a healthy balance of aquatic life, help support our socio-economic needs and even reduce the impact of floods. Lakes in the country have suffered the most at the hands of 'modernization'. A general disregard for natural resources has been the major contributing factor to the climate crisis we are facing today. The lack of sustainable development is why the world is rapidly losing control over the condition of the environment.
Please continue to support this campaign even if it reaches its goal. Funds raised beyond that would be used to revive more lakes. We are doing this campaign in partnership with Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar. This has 80G tax benefits. Please fund this campaign generously.
