As India continues to battle the COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the country through strict lockdowns and gradual reboots, it has ravaged vulnerable low-income communities. Their lives have been turned upside down overnight and they are having a traumatic experience. Suddenly they are without any source of income, and even something as basic as food is a nightmare for them. So how will they survive?

I am reminded of what the sensational goal-keeper for Paraguay Chilavert said, when he was asked about "pressure before the tournament" at the 1998 Word Cup: he said "Pressure? This is just a football match. When you do not know how to feed your children, that is pressure."

I learnt about this fantastic initiative being done by the Rotary in Mumbai where they are distributing meals every day through multiple kitchens and feeding those who are hungry. I learnt that their method of working provides the maximum bang for the buck: they can give wholesome meals at the lowest cost possible, yet their meals are healthy and nutritious. My campaign aims to help as many of them as we can. I request all of you to support my campaign so that we can feed as many of them as possible.
