About:
Hey everyone, I'm Aria and I'm a student at Jamnabai Narsee International School. There is a major difference between students who attend schools with facilities versus the schools who lack basic amenities for student well being . There is a clear disparity between the health and the level of education for the students. I feel as though it is our duty to try and make their education a better experience, to help them learn better. After all, one's education is one's greatest tool that no one can take away. To make education more accessible, JNIS is partnering with Greensole for this initiative to make kits for students.
This kit will impact students in rural areas of rural Maharashtra and improve their health, attendance, and concentration at school.
I believe it's appalling when you look at the state at which some students are in, sitting down on the floor for long periods of time means 9 in 10 students will face posture-related problems. It also has an indirect impact on their eyesight and their ability to concentrate and study. Lack of footwear also leads to foot-related diseases and health issues. This isn't something to be taken lightly, large populations of our youth study like this- hindering their future, hindering this country's future. It is something with which we can help, and that's exactly why I've started this campaign.
The back-to-school kit costs just INR 900 and gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat to sit comfortably at school or home, a recycled school bag for books, and a cloth mask. This is a very small amount to impact a student. Something that we're capable of, something that should be a no-brainer.
If you support this campaign, we'll give them a new kit, a fresh start and a breath of hope. It'll change not only the student's life, but the life of the student's family. Give them a new start, a chance and a way to achieve the education they deserve.
