My name is Aditya Jain. I am16 years old and in Grade 11 at Bal Bharati Public School.
It is difficult for us to imagine life without electricity. It is a basic necessity of life. In many places in the North East of India (both rural and urban areas), electricity is a distant dream for families and nobody has done anything to change that. People live in darkness after sunset. Lifestyles are impacted as all the work needs to be completed during the daytime. Education suffers as students do not get enough time to study. Their lives are severely impacted.
Solar Home Lighting system would be a boon for these people. These are portable and have multiple electricity points. It can also charge mobile phones. This would be highly beneficial to them. The fact that just INR 3000 will help one family made me realise I must do something about it.
Let’s impact the lives of people from underprivileged homes across the North East of India.
