About:
Namaste!
I am Ami Masurkar, a 16 year old in Grade XII at Suchitra Academy, Hyderabad.
Recently I learned that nearly 15 million people in India are blind or visually impaired but 80% of them suffer from avoidable blindness.
The idea of losing your sight is a scary one to both you and me.
In India more than 11 million people are impacted by cataracts which can easily be treated. What stops them, however, is the fact that they are unable to access the quality eye care because of the cost. When I learned this, it urged me to do something to make a difference.
I strongly believe that together we can help those who are needy and make an impact on their lives. We are privileged enough to be in a position where not only can we help ourselves but we can also afford to help others. So what's stopping us?
A contribution of just INR 3000 can make a difference in their quality of life and give them back the gift of sight. I request you to support my campaign by donating and spreading the word; let us work together and bring light into the lives of these people. Please keep funding this till the last date.
I would like to raise much more than my goal and help the elderly see again.
The Gift of Sight is the Gift of Life.
