My name is Aarushi. I am 16 years old and in Grade 12th at Suchitra Academy, Hyderabad.
Due to the fact that almost 15 million people are blind or visually impaired but 80% of them suffer from avoidable blindness in India makes me want to do my best in order to make someone’s life better.
I cannot imagine what it is to go blind. It deeply moved me when I found out that over 11 million people in India are impacted by cataract, even thought it can be easily treated by surgery. But access to quality eye care and the cost is a deterrent. The fact that a contribution of just INR 3000 can make a difference to the life of someone and give them back their sight made me realise that I must do something to help, being a young citizen and the future generation of my country.
I strongly believe that we can help those who are needy and in the process, transform their lives. Please support my campaign and let us together bring light into the lives of these people. I request all of you to keep funding this till the last date, and help to change someone’s life, for the better.
I would like to raise much more than my goal and help more seniors see again. After all, the Gift of Sight is the Gift of Life.
