About:
My name is QURESH KARACHIWALA. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Worli Bombay Trust.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally and is responsible for about 10 million deaths per year. This initiative of ours is to help cancer patients (both young and old) from low-income homes with free chemotherapy sessions. This is being done at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai.
While all of us complain about how things around us need to improve, very few of us actually get to do something about it. Thanks to the tie-up with Rotary the cost of chemotherapy is done at a cost of just INR 3000 per session. Each of the patients will get 4 free sessions through this campaign. In total, our Rotary club aims to impact 500 Cancer patients for an entire year. This works out to 500*4*3000 = INR 60L in total.
Please do support this campaign and let us together help create a cancer-free society. An act of kindness from you will help transform the life of an underprivileged person suffering from cancer.
If we raise more, then we will support more patients and help save more lives.
