About:
I am Archisha Bishnu, 14 years old and in Grade 10th at the EuroSchool, Airoli. I am an artistic person who finds solace in arts and crafts. I am highly passionate about helping others especially those who are less privileged than I am. Personally, for me, the most important thing that makes me truly happy is to make a difference in another person's life.
For girls and women, from financially weak backgrounds, access to sanitary napkins is a luxury which I feel is the basic necessity for every woman. But due to to their financial shortfall, they often resort to unhygienic alternatives which can be very hazardous to health.
Through this campaign, I intend to give them a menstrual hygiene kit that is cost-effective, lasts long, and is not too bulky. The cost of providing these reusable sanitary napkins which would last for 2 years is only INR 250.
The Hygiene kit consist of 2 regular shields, 6 regular liners, 1 large shield, 2 large liners, 1 Instruction manual, 1 ziplock bag and 1 drawstring bag to hold everything together. These are stitched by women from low-income homes thus serving as a source of livelihood for them.
I earnestly request all of you to support my campaign in lending a helping hand to these girls and women. Let us all come together and do our bit to transform lives around us.
Thanking you all in advance.
