About:
My name is Khushi Vedmehta. I am 14 years old and in Grade 9 at the EuroSchool, Airoli. I've volunteered with various organizations and am advocating for empathy, awareness and change through art and expression! In the past year, she's been exploring the power of social media to craft powerful narratives and have learnt that acknowledging my privilege and putting it to good use is so important!
For girls and women from financially weak backgrounds, access to sanitary napkins is a luxury. They often resort to unhygienic alternatives which can be very hazardous to health. Sanitary napkins are a basic necessity for every woman. The cost of providing reusable sanitary napkins which would last for 2 years is only INR 250.
Through this campaign, I intend to give them a menstrual hygiene kit that is cost-effective, lasts long, and is not too bulky. The Hygiene kit consist of 2 regular shields, 6 regular liners, 1 large shield, 2 large liners, 1 Instruction manual, 1 ziplock bag and 1 drawstring bag to hold everything together. These are stitched by women from low-income homes thus serving as a source of livelihood for them.
I request all of you to support my campaign. Let's come together and do our bit to transform lives.
