About:
My name is Jital Chheda. I am a student and volunteer at Chinmaya Mission and Chinmaya International Foundation and a Company Secretary by profession.
This crowdfunding campaign is an opportunity to become a contributor to the cause of education and a patron to a unique people's global university built on the foundation of time-tested wisdom of ancient Indian scriptures.
Recent times have proved that true education is that which teaches you to master all situations by mastering yourself. Modern education systems fall short in this somewhere. This is where the "Chinmaya way of Education" comes in to strike a fine balance between the modern and the ancient and by rolling out an education model which is not only practically workable, but will also go a long way in enriching future generations and thereby, the society.
This beautiful confluence of the East and the West has become possible by the far-reaching vision of His Holiness Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda Saraswati, who inspired setting up of Chinmaya Mission in 1953.
Besides making authentic spiritual knowledge from the Vedas easily accessible for all, Chinmaya Mission has also demonstrated how spiritual teachings can be implemented in our daily lives to find happiness in oneself. Happy individuals make a happy country and a happy world.
Chinmaya Mission has also been active in the fields of education and social welfare through Chinmaya Vidayalayas, Chinmaya International Residential School, Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development (CORD), etc.
I have undertaken this campaign because I believe that right education is the foundation for one's life journey. I was fascinated by the 3 pronged approach of this campaign and the impact it will make. This is truly about REIMAGINING EDUCATION.
1)The uniqueness of the Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) – a global university that will transform the lives of future generations of students. This will change the future.
2) In the immediate present being able to impact the lives of underprivileged students from Chinmaya Vidyalayas across India by supporting their education is a very high-impact initiative. The parents of these students are typically daily wage workers and many of them are illiterate and do not realise how critical education is.
3) Again in the present, the Chinmaya schools need better infrastructure. The lack of it definitely impacts the quality of education and the school environment & this is a critical need.
Brick by brick, let us come together and realise this ‘One Knowledge – One World’ initiative.
