About:
To introduce myself, I am Nandana Mohandas, a 11th grade student pursuing the computer science stream in Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Taylors Road.
I have always had a penchant for reading, writing and public speaking, in lieu of which I have never been one to shy away from a stage. I have actively taken part and represented my institution in several events - debates, Model United Nations and quizzes, to name a few. Meeting new people and gaining new experiences have always incentivized me to take up new projects.
Unsurprisingly, like most of my classmates, I’m confused about my career path. However, I can say with absolute certainty that I don’t intend to live life trapped within four walls, reliving the same day, time and again. It is of paramount importance to me that I find ways to give back to my community and make the world a better place, in the tiny ways I can. The belief behind which being that ‘Small drops make an ocean’.
As far back as my memory dates to, I have seen both of my parents demonstrate impeccable work ethic and hold authority in their workplace. I have a deep sense of appreciation for all of my teachers. Needless to say, neither my parents nor my teachers ever fail to inspire and motivate me to put my best foot forward in all fields.
In an ever-changing world, accelerated by the pandemic situation, its pivotal that one learns to shoulder responsibility. Not only do I seek leadership roles, I have also been fortunate enough to head wonderful groups of my peers on many an occasion.
I have also gained the invaluable experience of working behind the scenes to conduct several events, both independently and as a member of efficient teams. My experiences serve as a testament to the fact that behind every success lie innumerable obstacles and the imminent need for problem solving skills.
