About:
My name is Arham Shaikh and I am embarking on the Himlayan Challenge of racing the toughest ultra cycling race in India with the goal of taking inclusivity in sport to the next level and inspire more athletes to step forward and take the baton ahead. I am a passionate Ultra Cyclist and a Triathlete. I have successfully completed Race Across America (RAAM) and I am the youngest Indian to do so. I have also finished Virtual Race Across the West and am the only Indian to have finished RAAM (5000 Kms) and vRAW (1600 Km . My inclination towards inclusivity of blind and disabled embarked me and Niket on a journey of doing an Ironman together in Dubai, 2020. I am a certified and trained mountaineer, diver, rower, kayaker, yachtsman to name a few.
I am running this campaign to help spread awareness about the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the outdoors. Arham Shaikh and Sanket Bhirud are the first-ever Tandem pair to participate in the Himalayan Ultra Race at this altitude and I intend to support them and participate in this noble cause for enabling persons with disabilities to achieve what they have dreamt of and to unfold the myriad of possibilities for them. I am working towards building more awareness about this initiative. I believe, Mountains and the outdoors do not differentiate between anyone, so why is it that we differentiate among people? I have always believed that to change something, you have to be the change yourself.
Please support this campaign and together let us spread awareness about the inclusion of persons with disabilities.
