About:
My name is Meera Venkatesh. I am a retired scientist and had worked for more than 40 years in the field of peaceful applications of nuclear technologies, especially in healthcare.
I support this campaign as I strongly believe that education, which is an important aspect of everyone's life should impart the right values to makes the life’s journey meaningful and satisfying. I was impressed by the holistic approach of this campaign aiming at supporting underprivileged children with quality education and establishing an University for higher education (Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyalaya - CVV) - with attention to imparting Indian traditional knowledge and values along with the modern tools, techniques and knowledge. This described as 'REIMAGINING EDUCATION', I believe could provide the much needed value and spiritual tone to the current education status in India. I also am confident that as Chinmaya Mission is already serving in the field of education through the numerous Chinmaya schools, this new initiative termed as ‘One Knowledge – One World’ initiative, is a logical step forward to spread the light of knowledge among our kin.
I would encourage everyone to support this noble cause to educate the underprivileged children along with upgrading the infrastructure of the Chinmaya schools and establish an University with added benefits of the ancient Indian knowledge and values. Although an ambitious project, by coming together and through our concerted efforts, it is possible to realize it in our lifetimes.
