About:
My name is Swar Chandrakant Doshi. I am 12 years old and in Grade 7th in Ram Ratna International School, Mumbai.
It is shocking to know that many students in India do not have access to toilet facilities in school. I cannot imagine the plight faced by these students.
I have undertaken this campaign because I believe that it is very important for all students to have access to proper toilets. My classmates and I aim to help build toilets in the Gramin Vikas Mire Adivasi School, a school for the adivasi and the underprivileged children. Currently, the students are forced to defecate in the open because a huge tree fell on the one they had.
I believe this is an important cause as open defecation is detrimental to the household, society and the planet as a whole. The fact that raising INR 6.7 Lakhs will be a game-changer makes me elated. Getting a toilet will definitely transform the lives of the students of this school. The overall aim is to build 6 toilets for the school (in a single building which costs INR 6.7L to construct), 3 cubicles for boys and 3 for girls.
Please fund my campaign generously and together let’s transform the lives of these students.
