About:
My name is Avani Gupta. I am 14 and a student in grade 9 of TSMS, Noida.
I am passionate about the many social problems that India faces daily. The first step to battle some of these problems, like, poverty, electricity and water shortage, sanitation, etcetra is awareness. Today, there is another major issue, and I am devoted to doing whatever I can to help make a difference. The matter at hand is the availability of electricity, which is something all of us take for granted. On introspection, we realize that our life will come to a halt without electricity; Wi-Fi, televisions, fans, heaters, everything will stop. Now imagine having to live unfamiliar with the concept of electricity. That is what the rural area of Anupshahr is experiencing.
The people of Anupshahr do not have access to electricity which is a basic necessity, and nothing has been done to change that; They have to complete all their work before the sun sets, which makes it extremely inconvenient and inefficient. Life without electricity sounds torturous and unacceptable. Electricity is a basic need for all of us and is one of our basic rights, but there is an astounding number of villages in India where electricity is a distant dream.
It costs only INR 2300 to light up one house, and INR 11500 can help light up 5 houses.
Let us together impact the lives of people at Anupshahr. Please support my campaign and bring these homes out of the darkness and give them a brighter future.
