My name is Anushka Doodipala. I am 16 years old and in Grade 11 at Chirec International School.
I have undertaken this campaign because I was surprised to learn that students in rural areas do not have basic school gear like footwear, a school bag and actually sit on the hard ground.
Most of the students in rural schools of India sit down on the floor for long periods of time. 9 in 10 students consequently face posture-related problems. It also has an indirect impact on eyesight and their ability to concentrate and study.
The back-to-school kit costs just INR 750 and gives rural students a pair of recycled footwear, a study mat to sit comfortably on and study, a school bag for books, and a cloth mask. This is a very small amount to impact a child. Fund INR 7500 and transform the lives of 10 children.
