About:
My name is Vaibhav Agarwal. I work at Phillip Capital and am a concerned citizen.
This campaign of mine aims to transform the lives of illiterate women in the rural areas of Palghar (near Mumbai) through a unique low-cost and high-impact program that will help them learn 700 words in Marathi. These words are enough for their day-to-day needs and will dramatically transform their lives.
While all of us complain about how things around us need to improve, very few of us get to do something about it. It’s all talk and no action. I shudder when I think about how I would live a day in my life if I could not read or write and understand my first/primary language.
I have undertaken this campaign because I think empowering women, especially those from economically backward families has a massive impact on their entire family dynamics. It will transform their lives at a personal level and also impact the lives of future generations. These women will now be able to be more confident and will be able to take on more responsibilities than they would normally do. It allows them to read better, work better, travel better, and dramatically changes their confidence. It opens up new opportunities for them.
The fact that it takes just INR 850 to transform the life of one woman was a pleasant surprise. So for example, if you fund INR 4250 it will help transform the lives of FIVE such women.
Please support my campaign by funding it and let us together transform the lives of as many women as possible and bring cheer into their lives. All funding has 80G tax benefits in addition.
