About:
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others," this quote is what drives me forward towards devoting myself to this campaign. Social service, charity, helping orphanages, big words for us. But do we really understand the true meaning of these words? This campaign incites a dying fire of compassion in my heart, this campaign fuels that fire, this campaign fuels that dream. Is it their fault that they have to stay in an orphanage? Why should their dreams, their aspirations be affected for something completely out of their control? Three years back, I had been in a summer camp. During a conversation with one of my mates, I asked her about her personal life. She had always lived in an orphanage until the time she got adopted by one of the wealthy Mumbai families. She went to one of the best schools and made her way to this camp. However, this compelled me to think to the other, not so fortunate ones. She was adopted but what about them who were not? I shudder to think about the potential within these young, enthusiastic minds that is suppressed with their struggle to keep up with the modern moment. If proper funds, aid and basic needs are given to these orphanages, even the sky would not be the limit for those children. Giving liberates the soul of the giver, giving to orphanage would not only help the students there, most importantly, it would make you happy. Hence, show your love, show you care about those young innocent faces waiting there for your help, all just by supporting this campaign. I would conclude by saying, alone we do little but together we can do so so much.
