Hey, my name is Safia Merchant. I am 17 years old and in Grade 12 at Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai.

I believe it is vital for us to understand the role that education plays in each and every one of our lives and this is my prime reason for undertaking this very meaningful campaign to impact the life of a young girls in my city by sponsoring their education. Due to various reasons, many families across the city are unable to afford to send their daughters to school and rather they prefer to send them to work to make ends meet.

This wonderful initiative will provide education to those underprivileged girls of Palghar and Thane districts whose families can not afford it. This will help them continue to achieve their dreams and help them build a better future for themselves. Just INR 12,000 will help us support their education for an entire year.

Empowering girls through education, especially those from economically backward families has a massive impact on the entire family for generations to come while also accelerating social equality. These girls grow up to be more confident and take on responsibilities that they would normally shy away from.
