My name is Anish, I am 14 years old and a Grade 8 student at The Pupil Saveetha Eco School, Chennai.
After having an interactive session with Mr. Ranganatham, I was shocked to learn that premature babies are very vulnerable to death within the first 28 days after birth. To support them throughout these 28 days, the Ekam foundation created a pouch-like bag that helps keep premature babies warm, safe from infection, and have an easier way to get fed. The main motive behind my taking part in this campaign is simply the fact that I was also a premature baby. After hearing everything that happened to me when I was in the ICU for a few months, I didn't want other babies to be separated from their mothers like I was. So, I want to take part in this campaign to save those millions of babies around the world by gathering people who follow the same ideology and raising funds for the preterm babies.
