My name is Urveeja Rana, I am 15 years old and am a 9th grader at The Pupil Saveetha Eco School, Chennai.

A box of crumbs, in a rectangular box I stored my precious earnings. Babysitting was not my cup of tea but the feeling of going home with five bucks and two candy canes at the end of the maddening sessions certainly cheered 11 year old me up. It was fun for a couple of days, you know, hanging out with kids but after one point the Cocomelon theme tune starts haunting you in your sleep. So, I checked babysitting off my list of "Cool Summer Activities to Try Out" and crossed it off my list of "Possible Cool New Hobbies".
Dancing, skating, acting, painting, cooking and the list goes on. Growing up, I loved trying out exotic activities. Always in for the experience. I got a guitar for Christmas when I was 10. I loved it so much that I'd wake up every morning and go take a look at it just to make sure it didn't grow legs and run away while I was asleep. The obsession lasted for about 2 weeks. The guitar is now somewhere lost in the darkness of my attic but at least now we know that Urveeja and music are two terms that cannot be used in the same sentence. I believe that unless we try things out and have a carefree mindset, we'd never know what we are truly made for. My ideology is simple: Try, Learn, Repeat.
