My name is Prerna Benjamin, and I'm a 17-year-old girl studying in 11th grade at The Pupil Saveetha Eco School, Chennai.
I have always been someone who loves to learn new things. Whether it is reading a book on a topic I'm not familiar with, taking a class on a new subject, or simply trying out a new hobby, I believe that there is always something new to learn and discover. Crowdfunding was something that had caught my attention, I had found it an amazing way to bring people together and raise money for good causes. When I heard about the Kangaroo Mother Care technique, which is critical for the survival of pre term babies, I was amazed by the impact that such a simple solution could have on the survival of these vulnerable infants and felt the need to spread the word to more.
I have always believed that anyone can make a difference in their community and help those in need. It doesn't matter how old they are or what their background is - all it takes is a willingness to learn and a desire to make a positive change.
