My name is Nivedita Rajeev. I am 14 years old and a Grade 9 student at DPS, Bangalore North.

I have undertaken this campaign because I was surprised to learn how many students have insufficient school needs in Karnataka. Mainly for those who attend govt. schools in India. This issue has not gotten enough awareness. Only in recent years have these children gotten the requirements they need.

The lack of these resources can hamper with their health, and concentration and causes numerous issues. Due to these, attendance in such schools is also less compared to other schools. We as a society must aid them to having a memorable school experience and help them in any way we can.

The back-to-school kit costs just INR 900 and gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat to sit comfortably at school or home and a recycled school bag for books. This is a minimal amount to impact a student. Each kit costs just INR 900 including the cost of distribution. Fund INR 2700 for example and transform the lives of 3 students. I would like to be a part of helping these children and setting a good example for the rest of the country.
