My name is Saanvi Kiran . I am 14 years old and a Grade 9 student at EuroSchool North Campus, Bengaluru.

I've undertaken a campaign driven by a concerning revelation: numerous students in Karnataka's low-income households, primarily attending government schools, lack basic school essentials like proper footwear, school bags, and comfortable study mats. Shockingly, many of these students are forced to sit on the hard ground, resulting in compromised posture, eyesight issues, diminished concentration, and hindered learning experiences.

This prolonged floor-sitting has alarming consequences: a staggering 9 out of 10 students are at risk of developing posture-related problems. Additionally, this practice indirectly affects their eyesight and ability to focus, curbing their learning potential. The absence of adequate footwear also exposes them to foot-related diseases and other health complications.

Our solution, the back-to-school kit, is a cost-effective yet transformative approach. Valued at just INR 900, each kit comprises recycled footwear, a cozy study mat fashioned from recycled materials, and a sturdy school bag tailored for holding books. The impact of this kit is profound, especially considering its affordability. A contribution of INR 1800, for instance, can positively reshape the lives of two students, equipping them with essential tools for success.
