My name is Pranita Mandal. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student at EuroSchool, Whitefield, Bengaluru.
Helping people is something I have always loved doing and being able to help these girls through this campaign is amazing. I have taken up this initiative because I think being able to impact the lives of young girls with such big dreams and passion would be incredible. These girls were abandoned and unfortunately have no one to look after them. Makkala Dhama has taken the initiative to help these girls by making sure that they have a safe environment to grow up in so they can focus on their studies. At Makkala Dhama, girls are provided with all necessities along with accommodation such as food, clothing, medical care, stationery, books, etc. They attend nearby schools
The cost to impact a girl for 6 months is just INR 20000. The shelter home will provide all the necessary facilities to help them grow into independent and responsible adults. This campaign will give them hope and comfort, and will positively impact their life.
