My name is Amolika. I am 13 years old and a Grade 8th student at JBCN International School, Oshiwara.

The reason I have decided to partake in this campaign is that I was surprised and saddened by the number of children who go to schools and have to suffer in such harsh conditions just to receive a simple education.

In my opinion, all children and not just those in India, should receive basic necessities for school like shoes, bags and chairs.

If you do not have chairs and sit on the hard floor all day you are bound to get back and posture problems and if you don't have basic and proper footwear your feet are more likely to be infected with foot diseases and infections.

Due to these reasons, children miss up to five days of school in a month and if you do basic maths the children are altogether missing up to 2 months of school.

Now here is the solution: Back to school kits.

The back-to-school kit costs just INR 900 and gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat to sit comfortably at school or home and a recycled school bag for books. This is a very small amount to help a student. Each kit costs just INR 900 including the distribution of these kits. If you fund INR 2700 you will be helping 3 students.
