My name is Aahana Gora, I am 13 years-old and a Grade 8 student at DPS Gurgaon, Sector 45.

I am participating in this campaign because I was very astonished to learn that many students that come from humble backgrounds in Haryana, who go to school (mainly govt schools) do not even have basic school gear like proper footwear or a school bag and often sit on the hard ground in order to study in their classes.

Sitting on the floor for a long time leads to bad posture which ultimately decreases concentration in class. They walk to school every day while lacking proper footwear and they have to carry their books in their hands ,Thus worsening the situation.In summers, these students walk on the hot roads due to which they get skin related diseases in their feet and sit on the burning hot ground just to study and focus in class.

The back-to-school kit costs just INR 900 and gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat in which they can sit and study in class or at home. It also provides a recycled school bag for the students to keep their books.So, by funding just INR 3600, you will be changing the life of not only 1 but 4 students. This kit has does not produce an excessive amount of carbon footprint nor does it pollute the environment. It is completely nature-friendly as it is made of objects that are recycled or reused. As they say -- "One man's trash is another man's treasure."

We all need to realise that--- "Charity begins at home" . By contributing just INR 900 to my campaign, you will create an impact and change the perspective of many people, Thus transforming not only one, but millions of lives. Help me bring a smile to the faces of those students.
