My name is Nikunj. I am 14-years-old and a Grade 9 student at the DPS Gurgaon, Sector 45.

I have undertaken this campaign because I think it is important to impact the life of a child. Many of the parents whose children aren't to be blamed they are unable to pay to educate their children and would rather have them earn money this is necessary for them to get food on the table the next day. The fact that the school provides two meals with education uniforms etc for free make parents finally be able to send there children to send their children here and get an education. This allows these not-so-fortunate kids to experience school life. They are often the first ones to be educated in their entire family.

The cost of educating them is just INR 2500 per month and includes food, uniform education books/stationery, and all other necessary items. Educating a child here holds the promise of getting a job once they grow up. This will help them get their family out of the vicious cycle of poverty. To deny a child such a basic right to education is to steal their future and possibly ruin a better future for us. Each child holds immense potential for us to not be able to help them is society for as whole to fail them.
