My name is AADIDEV BASU. I am a Grade 10 student at The Doon School, Dehradun. I am passionate about making a difference to the lives of girls - particularly those facing challenges in getting to their school as they have to walk long distances in rural Punjab.
My friends and I are focussed on addressing this challenge, faced by girls in villages of Punjab. Many girls struggle to attend school because of the considerable distance from their homes and the lack of local transportation options.
To help these girls, we have launched a campaign to provide them with bicycles. These bicycles, sourced from Nova Bicycle Industries in Janta Nagar, Ludhiana, are of the NOVA brand. Each bicycle costs approximately INR 4000.
Through this initiative, we aim to empower 86 girls from villages such as Para Pind, Bishrampur, Bakhu Nagal, Khusropur, and Dittu Nagal with a means of transportation. If we collect more funds we will help more girls.
Together, let's make a lasting impact by ensuring that every girl can access education without facing transportation constraints.
