About:
My name is Kashish Shah. I am 12 years old and a Grade 8B student at The Shriram Millennium School (TSMS) in Gurgaon. My favourite hobby is reading.
Getting right into it, I started this campaign because I learnt about the challenges faced by many students from low-income families in Haryana, especially those attending government schools. These students often don't even have basic school supplies like proper footwear and school bags. They also sit on the hard ground to study. These conditions make it extremely hard to concentrate and evolve.
Sitting on the floor can lead to posture-related issues for 9 out of 10 students. This affects their physical health, eyesight, concentration, and overall ability to learn. Moreover, the lack of proper footwear can cause foot-related diseases and other health problems. These students fail to reach their full potential because these basic needs are not met.
To help, I am raising funds for back-to-school kits. Each kit costs just INR 950, including distribution, and contains a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat for comfortable seating, and a recycled school bag for their books. These simple items can make a world of difference in creating a better learning environment for them.
A small donation of INR 2850 can provide these essential supplies to three students, improving their educational experience. Your support can improve their health, increase their school attendance, and boost their academic performance. These kits bring smiles to their faces and give them the confidence they need to succeed.
Please help me make education more accessible and comfortable for these children. Together, we can make a significant impact on their lives. Thank you for your support and time.
