Hey! I'm Darshini a student of Class 12th of DPS, Bangalore North. I'm a humanities student and I wish to pursue a career in Economics. I like travelling and exploring new music. A few days ago, I was introduced to something really cool called crowdfunding which helps raise funds for children who are suffering from any disorder and most of them come from an economically deficit background. The crowdfunding event that I'm campaigning for is going to help raise funds for children who are suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. But why this disorder in particular? DMD has no cure but most children who suffer from DMD don't live beyond their teenage years. A sum of just Rs 20000 can fund the treatment and improve the quality of life of an underprivileged child suffering from DMD for an entire year.
Thanks to the efforts of the NGO called DART which made me realise that I must do something to help. I strongly believe that we can help children suffering from DMD and make a difference to their lives :)
