My name is Harsh Khurana. I am a part of Aarambh Mumbai.
My grandparents migrated from Shahpur, Pakistan during the partition with a family of 8 children, including my father who was all of 7 years old then. I have heard stories from my uncles and aunts of the turbulent tragic times and subsequently their struggle to settle afresh in India. Going to Pakistan to perform will be quite personal for me in some sense. And also it would be a great opportunity to share notes on art and culture through our theatre production 'Bandish', the content of which i am sure is going to resonate deeply with our neighbouring audience.
As part of this team, I've had the privilege of contributing to plays that have been featured at major theatre festivals across India. Now, we have an exciting opportunity to perform in Lahore, where we can share our stories and cultural heritage with a new audience. To make this vision a reality, I'm seeking support to help raise funds for our upcoming performance.
