Hello, my name is Abriana Serrao, a 11-year-old Grade 6 student at JBCN International School, Borivali.
I launched this campaign after learning that many students from low-income families in Maharashtra, especially in government schools, lack basic essentials like footwear, school bags, and even a comfortable place to sit during class. Sitting on hard floors for long hours leads to posture issues in 9 out of 10 students, affecting their concentration, health, and learning. Without proper footwear, they also face foot-related health problems.
For just INR 950, a "Back-to-School" kit provides a pair of recycled shoes, a study mat, and a school bag. A small contribution of INR 1900 can positively impact the lives of two students.
