My name is Tarunika Kannan. I am 15 years old and an IGY-2 student at the CPS Global School, Thirumazhisai, Chennai.

Every child deserves the chance to learn and succeed, but many students face the challenges of attending school without the basic supplies that they need. I have undertaken this campaign to provide essential school kits to underprivileged students, helping them start the school year equipped for success.

Sitting down on the floor for a long period of time means 9 in 10 students will face posture-related problems. It also has an indirect impact on their eyesight and their ability to concentrate and study. Lack of footwear also leads to foot-related diseases and health issues.

The back-to-school kit costs just INR 950 and gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat to sit comfortably at school or home and a recycled school bag for books. By giving these children the tools they need, we’re not just providing materials—we’re empowering them to learn, dream, and build a brighter future.
