About:
My name is MANNAT SAMRA. I am 16 years old and a Grade 12 student at the Jayashree Periwal Intl School (JPIS), Jaipur.
Driven by a passion for helping others and a dream to eradicate hunger in India, me and my friends founded, SustainaBite an innovative initiative that transforms waste into nutrition.
The struggles of Burmese refugees in the state of Mizoram and the widespread malnutrition crisis fueled our determination to do something. I believe every individual deserves access to nutritious food.
Our innovative approach utilizes Brewer's Spent Grain (BSG) and Distiller's Spent Grain (DSG), which are rich in protein, fiber, and essential nutrients and typically discarded as waste.
We convert these grains into nutrient-rich powder through dehydration technology, blending them with wheat flour to produce protein-fiber-rich flour.
With just 5kg of protein fiber, we create 25 kg of nutritious flour.
We're now seeking INR 2L to support our nutrient-rich flour production, packaging, and also the cost of transportation from Jaipur to Mizoram.
Join us in the mission to eradicate hunger and malnutrition among refugees in Mizoram.
