My name is Anvay Patwardhan. I am 14 years old and a Grade 9 student at the Chirec Intl School (IB), Hyderabad.
I have undertaken this campaign to support children who have cancer and their families with a monthly ration basket.
Fighting cancer is unbelievably tough, and in order for treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy to have effect, NUTRITION is the key factor.
Children from low-income homes are often malnourished. Malnourished patients respond poorly to cancer treatments. Overall, malnutrition increases the rate of abandonment of therapy and doubles the risk of death due to cancer.
The ration baskets can be a difference of life and death for kids. And who knows, maybe through a ration kit a child's life can be saved and he/she might grow up to become the prime minister of our country.
The cost to change a young child's life is just 4500 INR.
