About:
Hello i am Saurish from DPS,Bangalore North.I have decided to join a fund raising campaign with the help of Fuel A Dream. The organization is aiming for a campaign for the children suffering from DMD(Muscular Dystrophy).
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. It is one of nine types of muscular dystrophy.
DMD is caused by an absence of dystrophin, a protein that helps keep muscle cells intact. Symptom onset is in early childhood, usually between ages 3 and 5. The disease primarily affects boys, but in rare cases it can affect girls.
This disease makes children to sit on wheelchairs rather than jumping around which is a really unfortunate thing to happen as at that age is a main time where kids learn how to walk/play. The science around us is very advanced and has reached to a stage where this disease can be cured up to 60%. However, funds remain a big issue. So please contribute and help me with my campaign and help the kids suffering.
