My name is ARANI DAS GUPTA. I am 14 years old and in Grade 9 at the Billabong High International School, Malad, Mumbai.
I am doing this campaign to help these young girls and women and give them a livelihood. The beneficiaries are mainly in the Palghar district of Maharashtra (located about 100 km from Mumbai). This will give them a sustainable livelihood by providing them with suitable training in fashion and giving them sewing machines. This will completely transform their lives and also impact their families.
The fact that it costs just INR 7000 to impact a girl/woman is amazing. I was surprised to learn that with just this much, they can have a sustainable livelihood. Through this campaign, I aim to transform the lives of many young girls and women and their families. This will make them financially independent and impact their families for generations to come.
