Hello, My name is Mannat and I am a 9th-grade student studying in DPS EAST BANGALORE. I have a habit of reading books and one day I read "We cant help Everyone but everyone can help someone". Each of you can also help in saving a lot of lives. A cleft is a gap or split in the upper lip and/ roof of the mouth. Its causes are usually complications occurred in the womb due to toxic ingestion Malnutrition etc. A cleft lip can cause various problems like dental problems, infections in ear causing hearing difficulties and increasing vulnerability to harmful bacteria. a cleft lip surgery to fix the lip can be afforded by a man earning a respectable salary but the poorer sections of society are not able to so which usually ends in the death of the affected . today more than 1 million reports of cleft lips arize and 60% are left untreated . I know if I try I can save the affected kids who and my reason for trying will be the passion I have for those who fight wars every day, wars with themselves, wars with society for their appearance they did nothing to deserve it and I want to be able to give them what these brave souls need .
