My name is Aditya Mallik and I am in grade X at Bombay Scottish School- Mahim, Mumbai. Fuel a Dream held a workshop at my school and invited us to design a campaign on their crowdfunding platform to help children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease. In my opinion, Knowledge is the best accomplice. I enjoy science, reading, cycling, listening to music, watching movies, singing and playing games. However, I'd be unable to do any of these things without a functioning heart. While all of us complain about how things around us need to improve, very few of us actually get to do something about it. It's all talk and no action. However, when I was presented with this opportunity, I seized it immediately, in hopes of saving a child's life. But, i need your support to do this. Thus, I humbly beseech you to fund a small amount and make a difference- not just in others' lives, but ours as well. Congenital Heart Disease kills approximately 78,000 Indian children every year. These helpless and innocent infants can do nothing about it and their parents cannot afford surgery which is typically priced between 2.5 to 5 lakhs. Although, the Directive Principles of State Policy include Healthcare as a right, these children continue to suffer in hospitals. This is where you come in. You can change the world for the better, you can give these children a happy tomorrow and make a difference with me.
