About:
My name is RAJESH JOSHI and I am a corporate professional turned Communications Consultant. After spending a few years as a journalist, I joined HDFC Bank to handle their Corporate Communications function. I subsequently joined HSBC where I headed External Communications for the HSBC Group in India for 10 years. I now work as a communications and content consultant with a start-up Communications and CSR Advisory firm, The Good Edge.
I feel very strongly about making a difference to the lives of these young aspirants who come from rural backgrounds and are from impoverished families. The fact that raising INR 78000 INR (for 12 months of studies) and 1.56L INR (for 24 months) will change their lives completely is something I can relate to. This will impact not just them but their household and community as these individuals will become change agents. I have already contributed to the crowdfunding of the coaching of a son of a cab driver from Mumbai earlier and I know the impact it makes. He made good the faith in him by us by clearing his IIT Exams.
Their success will create belief in their villages as they become role models and spark a change in the aspiration levels of children from rural areas. Over a period of time, once they become professionals like us, I am sure they will also definitely give back to society & change things at their village, town and districts.
Our villages are the bedrock of our nation and a stronger rural community is what will make us a powerhouse in the days and years to come. Please support my campaign and let us together bring light into the lives of these young and talented IIT aspirants.
