Hi, I am Avantika Chandak of Vidyaniketan School, Bangalore. My family and friends mean everything to me. I love to express myself through dance, poetry and music. A visit to an orphanage on my 17th birthday which had children from the age of 3 months to 16 years changed my life completely. Recently, fuel a dream approached our school and I learned that through crowd funding we can help children who come from the economically weaker sections of the society. We are very privileged but what we don’t understand is that while we are living a happy life, there are so many people struggling to live everyday! We go on complaining about everything but do we do anything to improve the system?
What if I tell you that by contributing a small amount of money, you can save a life? I believe that healthcare is a basic necessity and it should be available to everyone irrespective of their financial condition. If you told me that we could save the life of someone, I would have been amused.
But here I am now doing exactly that. I request you to fund a small amount (big amounts are welcome too) and together let’s make a difference. There are many children who have holes in their heart. These paediatric surgeries typically cost between 2.5 L to 5L and are simply unaffordable for the poor. The Rotary Bangalore is able to do it at a much lower cost and only 30000 INR is required to save a child’s life and bring joy to their families. The fact that a heart surgery can be done at such a low cost is another reason why I decided to do this campaign. These children don’t belong in hospitals. Just like how we all have had childhoods filled with fun and laughter, we would love to give this opportunity to these children to live a normal life. Please support my campaign. Thank you for your time and support!
