Hi! My name is Viva and I am currently a 16 year-old studying at Mallya Aditi International School. My interests include art & design, math, and working with different initiatives. One such initiative, which hit home for me, is a platform to help children who are suffering from thalassaemia. Anyone who has been diagnosed with this genetic blood disorder needs to be given blood transfusions every 2-3 weeks, in order to stay alive and healthy. This is why I need your help to fund underprivileged children born with this chronic condition. This can aid a percentage of the 1,00,000 lives affected by this problem in India, a country which unfortunately happens to rank number 1 on the list regarding thalassaemia.
Acquiring funds and promoting treatment could help save multiple people, literally and figuratively. As a child, one should not have to worry about whether they can afford their next blood transfusion. I believe healthcare and freedom to live life should reach every child, irrespective of their family’s socioeconomic group. This is why I am campaigning for this cause. A contribution of just INR 2500 will help extend a life!
