About:
Hey, I am Yuvika Chauhan in Grade 9 at the Deens Academy, Whitefield, Bengaluru.
Our school recently organized an interesting program where representatives of the organization "Fuel A Dream" told us about the concept of crowdfunding, and how we would be using this for a campaign called "Walk Again". It piqued my interest immensely.
The program is to help amputees receive prosthetic legs for a much cheaper rate than the actual cost (11000 INR).
It is difficult for me to imagine the struggle that these people face everyday, and it made me realize that I take such things for granted. The fact that a contribution of just INR 11000 can turn over someone's entire life made me realise that I must do something to help them. I strongly believe that we, the more fortunate, can help those who are needy and in the process, transform their lives.
Please support my campaign and let us together bring mobility and freedom back into the lives of these people. Even the smallest contribution makes the biggest difference.
These prosthetics will be given out in a few districts of Karnataka. This will help men, women, the youth and the elderly. It will have a ripple effect on their families. A lot of these poor villagers will also be able to work and this will help them earn a livelihood. Helping others is something that is close to my heart. Many thanks for your support.
