My name is Sandesh and I am a Grade 11 student at The Riverside school, Ahmedabad.

I have started this campaign to raise awareness and funds to transform the lives of children & young adults who are differently abled and who come from poorer sections of society. I understand that often are ridiculed because they are different and end up not being able to integrate their lives with society. All they need is love, warmth, therapy & skill training to become independent.

I want to make a difference in their lives and was happy to discover that the NGO Prabhat does work to help such kids and young adults. I have even worked personally with Prabhat for a year, where I interacted with those lovely students, and even helped organise a huge event with all these specially abled children, made them have fun, played games, danced, and had an amazing time. My time with them made me realise, that they are no different than us. There is so much we can learn from them. The fact that just INR 12500 can fund their transformation for a year is something that made me want to do this even more. Please fund my campaign as a simple act of kindness on your part can have a profound impact on a child. It will give them education, confidence, and a wonderful life.

As an individual, I am trying to raise INR 25000 to impact 2 children/young adults. If I collect more funds we can transform the lives of more such children and young adults. Once the campaign is completed the NGO will give feedback on the beneficiaries. In cases where the parents are not comfortable with sharing the images of their son/daughter, we will use an AVATAR. I hope you understand the sensitivity in sharing that information.
